For aging in a tropical climate, ex-bourbon barrels are used for 3 years, followed by 11 years in ex-cognac casks. On the nose, it immediately impresses with a character reminiscent of venerable cognac and vinous notes, plums and dried dates, but also bitter cocoa powder mixed with cane sugar and vanilla. Then red fruits, cherries, orange juice, and a touch of tropical fruit (pineapple) emerge, while a pleasant toasted walnut blends harmoniously.
