The French artist Jordi Thaïs, born in 1991 and known as Vast from Réunion, was commissioned for the first bottling. Four barrels of rum, made from molasses, were selected, partly distilled in a Savalle column still and partly in a C20 column still. All matured in the distillery’s famous humid cellars before being bottled at Cask Strength at 52% volume in a limited batch.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cb\u003eDescription: \u003c\/b\u003eBright amber color. On the nose, initially an explosion of exotic fruit and spices with inviting caramel and candied fruit, then a subtle note of molasses and smoke emerges. On the palate, it offers a very balanced attack in terms of sensations and texture. Its power and roundness are very well regulated, with sensations of oriental spices, notes of toasted vanilla bean and licorice.
